The B Sharps are an
established five piece band from the West Midlands with a reputation for
providing quality musicianship and a party atmosphere. They have
lots of experience and regularly play at all kinds of occasion
including wedding receptions, corporate events and private
functions in all types of venue including some of the finest hotels in
the area, marquees, clubs and local pubs.
All
the members of the band have been playing since their school days
and have the same professional attitude. They have many years of
experience and you'll be able to rely on them to act appropriately at

the West Midlands and neighbouring counties but are usually

LIVE MUSIC AND DISCO. .

Give your guests a night to
remember with the exciting sound and feel of live music plus
an inclusive disco with great lighting to get them in the
party mood! The B Sharps will perform two sets playing hits
from the present day right back to the 60's. With great songs from
Kim Wilde and Blondie through to Amy Winehouse - and from the
original Monkees to The Arctic Monkeys there's something for
audiences of all ages! PLUS our own disco will entertain your guests throughout
the evening while the band are not on stage so you're getting a
full evening of memorable entertainment!
The band have a professional quality
Mackie sound system plus an impressive lighting rig with a 3metre wide
overhead gantry. Oh and
incidentally... the band play 100% live - you won't find
any backing tracks here!

TIMING. . .
Here is an example of
the timing for a wedding that took place in 2007. This
is just for your guidance as we can alter the timing to suit you,
the occasion and the venue but it demonstrates how an evening fits
together!

The B Sharps arrive at the venue with no problems (thanks to
sat nav!). There's a slight delay as the
hotel staff have not yet finished re-arranging the room after
the dinner and speeches. |

6:25pm |
The guest have retired to the bar area so access to the room is
now free and the band can begin loading in the
heavy equipment. |

6:45pm |
The band set up the PA system, amplifiers, drums, instruments
and lighting rig. |
|
7:15pm |
The band play a couple of numbers for a sound check to adjust
the eq and volume for the room. |

7:30pm |
The disco plays low background music and the band
retire to the changing room to freshen up. |

7:35pm |
The band are paid in cash (Hooray!) and some sandwiches
and drinks are sent to their dressing room... (OOOooo ta very much!) |

7:45pm |
The disco announces and plays the "first dance" followed by some
great dance numbers to warm up the crowd. There's a special
dedication for the guests who have travelled from Australia. |

The B Sharps play their first
set
finishing 5 minutes early 'cos
they get carried away with the crowd and play a couple of
numbers at a faster tempo! |

The band announce that
the "buffet is now ready" and the disco takes over for
an hour. |

The B Sharps play their second set
and because the guests
screamed "more!" really really REALLY loudly... they play an encore! |

The disco plays a selection of great tracks to entertain the guests through to the end of the night. |

The last dance is announced and the evening is at an end for the
guests. (Except for one guy who decides to carry on dancing for
20 minutes without any music!) |
